For as long as I had heard of it I've searched for a working copy of the Midnight Modeler by David Taylor. I got the linux binary working lastnight(14/09/2000) (on a mdk 7.0). Here is a quick outline of the installation. 1. I downloaded a copy of the dos version (http://perso.infonie.fr/rod.gelaude/commun/mnm/mnm.zip), unpacked, and installed it in a (DR)dos partition. 2. I copied my dos version, files and direcotries to where I wanted to install it on my linux system. 3. I edited the mnm.ini file to correct from dos paths to the linux path where I installed it. removing ^M's from the end of each line in the ini file. 4. I then went to http://www.lamertz.net/mnm.html and downloaded the binary for linux, i used the static. It runs in X, up to 1024x768 quit well. still playing with it.
